I'm crying now for not be able to use it anymore TAT --- Hey guys, there are two way to continue using this extension: 1. You can still force enable this plugin. Just go to chrome://extensions and find this plugin, click on "Keep" and then go to Details page and enable it. Chrome will warn you that this extension is not supported, but you can still enable it and it's fine to keep using it. 2. Unfortunately, this extension has not been maintained for the past six years (since 2018). Over time, errors have increased, and some features are missing. Additionally, it does not support Manifest Version 3 and will soon be automatically removed from the store. My Recommendation: I suggest switching to ZeroOmega (Extension ID: pfnededegaaopdmhkdmcofjmoldfiped). It supports Manifest Version 3 and addresses many of the bugs found in SwitchyOmega. What I Did: - I backed up my settings. - Uninstalled the old extension. - Installed ZeroOmega. - Restored my backup. Since then, everything has been running smoothly!

This worked great in it's day but the actual proxy invocation I think has been broken either when MV3 was introduced or in an API update since then (in the most basic scenario of an unauthenticated local proxy) and the original author has stopped maintaining this ~6 years ago so there is little hope of a fix.
The MV2 version will soon be unsupported by browsers (by the end of the year at the latest), and you should install the MV3 version immediately to avoid interruptions.
